A lot has been made about the arrangement between Tom Brady’s personal trainer and the New England Patriots, but the team sounds determined to extinguish that storyline as the 2018 season begins.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Patriots were able to reach a “compromise” with Brady’s body coach Alex Guerrero this offseason. While Guerrero had some of his access limited last year, he is now free to travel with the team on road trips. He can also work with Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and possibly other players during so-called company time.

“My understanding is no such (rift) exists,” Rapoport said.
Bob Hohler of the Boston Globe reported last year that Guerrero had been “banned from boarding Patriots jets” and had his sideline access revoked. The trainer was also prohibited from working with any member of the team other than Brady at his private suite at Gillette Stadium.
If that information was accurate, it’s possible Guerrero’s arrangement with the Patriots is something Brady, Bill Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft hashed out over the past several months. Though, if anyone asks Belichick about it, we already know what he is going to say.
