Watch: Philip Rivers, Anthony Lynn get into heated sideline confrontation

Philip Rivers upset

The Los Angeles Chargers have been arguably the most disappointing team in the NFL this season, and frustrations appeared to boil over for Philip Rivers during Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.

During what was a rough first half for LA, Rivers and Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn were seen getting into a heated shouting match on the sideline. It’s unclear what the disagreement was over, but Rivers was clearly furious.

Rivers is known for being a passionate guy, so it’s not surprising to see him react like that with the Chargers 2-5 on the year. The 37-year-old was also seen barking at Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan after Trevathan mocked him for complaining about a no-call.

The Chargers are coming off an extremely heartbreaking loss, so they were hoping that was rock bottom. However, it does not look like any type of dramatic turnaround is imminent. Given that they were one of the favorites in the AFC heading into the season, that must be a tough pill for Rivers to swallow.
