Is Jon Gruden heading to the Oakland Raiders? At least one Raiders assistant thinks so.
Bay Area media personality John Middlekauff reported on Sunday after news of Jack Del Rio’s firing that a Raiders assistant told him he was 99% sure Gruden was coming.

Jack Del Rio was fired after Sunday’s season-ending loss to the Chargers that dropped the team to 6-10. Del Rio was coming off a 12-4 season, and while his 2017 was disappointing, seeing him fired after so much success the year before was a surprise.
Really the only explanation for him being shown the door is if Gruden is coming to coach the team. A report on Saturday night sure made it seem like that was going to be the case.
