The Oakland Raiders have apparently completed their interview process and decided on their next head coach, and you will never guess who landed the job.
According to Raiders report Steve Corkran, Jon Gruden is set to become the next head coach of the Raiders. The team is planning to introduce Gruden in a “splashy” news conference on Tuesday.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter later confirmed the report.
All joking aside, it has been obvious that the Raiders were going to hire Gruden from the second they fired Jack Del Rio. While some reports about what the team offered Gruden to lure him away from the broadcast booth may have been exaggerated, this was the expected outcome all along.
Gruden has been in the process of assembling a coaching staff for weeks, and former Raiders quarterback Rick Gannon may be one of the people who will be joining him in Oakland as an assistant.
