Dante Fowler will remain with the Los Angeles Rams for the future.
In the days ahead of the beginning of free agency in the NFL, the Rams announced that they had agreed on a new contract. Terms were not disclosed.
Fowler, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, was acquired by the Rams for two draft picks in a trade deadline deal. In eight games with the team, he had 21 tackles and two sacks.
The Rams are off to a nice start in building upon the team that made the Super Bowl. They have retained Fowler and added Eric Weddle to their defense.
