Ray Lewis gave Bills pep talk before game against Patriots
Rex Ryan felt the Buffalo Bills needed an added boost before playing the New England Patriots Monday night, so he called upon an old friend — Ray Lewis.
Yes, the same Lewis who won a Super Bowl with Ryan when Rex was a defensive coach with the Baltimore Ravens nearly 15 years ago. The two go way back, and Ryan confirmed on Wednesday that Lewis spoke to the Bills.
Rex Ryan confirms that Ray Lewis spoke to the Bills on Sunday night before Monday night’s game. Won’t get into what he told team.

Is that a conflict of interest? Not really. Lewis works as an analyst for ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” but he is obviously biased from his days of playing in the NFL. It does, however, help explain why Lewis picked the Bills to pull off the upset and why he said what he did about Ryan vs. Bill Belichick.
Sorry, Rex, you’ll have to try a new gimmick the next time you play the Patriots.
