Report: David Irving suspended four games
David Irving is being suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport shared the news on Irving, who is being suspended for the second time. Irving also was suspended the first four games of the 2017 season due to a violation of the league’s PED policy.
Irving, 24, has 11.5 sacks in three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He has been limited to just 35 games over that span, as he’s battled a broken wrist, concussion and suspensions.
Irving is under contract for $2.9 million this season. He had this interesting quote to Mike Fisher a day before his suspension.
‘Just know it's behind me. By the time the season starts I wont be dealing w/ any of this BS any more’ – #Cowboys David Irving, 24 hours before sources tell me he’s been suspended by the NFL for 4 games.
