Report: Julio Jones arrives at training camp despite contract issue
Julio Jones is seeking a new contract, but that didn’t stop him from reporting to Atlanta Falcons training camp.
Jones arrived at Falcons training camp on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Vaughn McClure.
Julio Jones has reported for training camp, I am told. Just as expected. Now Falcons and Jones have to get deal done

Jones did not show up for the beginning of the team’s offseason program but reported later and was limited in minicamp due to a foot injury.
The wide receiver has been seeking a new deal and says he was promised one by team owner Arthur Blank. That good faith promise may have been enough to sway Jones to report and not hold out.
The 30-year-old is owed a $9.4 million base salary in the upcoming season and $11.4 million next season. Jones has caught 31 touchdown passes since 2014 and has consistently been among the league leaders in receptions and receiving yards. He likely wants a contract that will lock him in with the Falcons for the rest of his career and continue to pay him like one of the best receivers in the sport.
