Reuben Foster, 49ers GM release statements addressing suspension
The San Francisco 49ers have stuck with Reuben Foster through all of his off-field issues, and they will continue to do that in the wake of the star linebacker’s two-game suspension.
On Tuesday, the NFL announced that Foster has been fined and suspended for the first two games of the 2018 season. Foster released a statement apologizing to the 49ers, his teammates and the team’s fans, and general manager John Lynch also weighed in.

Foster had been accused of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend, but the charges were dropped for a number of reasons. His two-game suspension stems from misdemeanor drug and weapon possession charges, both of which have been settled.
