Rob Gronkowski

You can put an end to all the rumors and speculation about Rob Gronkowski’s future.

Gronk said on Instagram Tuesday that he will return to the New England Patriots and play next season.

“I met with coach today and informed him I will be back for the 2018 season with the Pats,” Gronk wrote in his caption. “I have been working out, staying in shape and feel great. Looking forward to another championship run.”

Rumors about Gronk’s potential retirement kicked up around the time of the Super Bowl, with some saying he was considering retirement. He has not been with the team for the start of offseason workouts, and many think that is financially-motivated.

After eight seasons in the league and several injuries, Gronk may just want a little more time to himself this offseason, which seems like the case.
