Seahawks practice squad player fined over AJ Brown confrontation
The Seattle Seahawks practice squad player that got into it with Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown will be a bit lighter in the wallet due to the incident.
Joey Hunt, a practice squad offensive lineman, received a $1,610 fine from the league for his actions during Monday night’s game. The fine is a pro-rated portion of Hunt’s practice squad salary.
Seahawks’ practice squad offensive lineman Joey Hunt, whom Joe Buck referred to as a Seattle “staff member” Monday night when he got into a sideline incident with A.J. Brown, was fined $1,610 by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct, per a source.

Hunt and Brown got into it during Monday’s game when the Seahawks sideline reacted badly to Brown shoving cornerback Michael Jackson (video here). Hunt was the first to retaliate, which earned him the fine. At the time, he was erroneously referred to as a staffer.
Hunt is a longtime member of the Seahawks’ practice squad. He was there from 2016 to 2019, and landed there for a second stint starting in 2022.
