It took Indianapolis Colts defensive back Sergio Brown only a few minutes to realize it’s probably not a good idea to rag on your opponent after you just got your a** handed to you, but it was already too late.
On Monday, Brown sent out a series of tweets bragging about how he shut down Rob Gronkowski. He quickly deleted them, but not before they were captured by the Twitter world.

Sounds like someone’s a little embarrassed about being tossed like a rag doll.
Brown probably has a point about the NFL glorifying unnecessary roughness and taunting penalties, but running your mouth — or, in this case, fingers — after a blowout loss is never a good idea.
Most importantly, Brown didn’t put “straps” on Gronkowski. While 71 yards and a touchdown wasn’t Gronk’s best game of the season, the Patriots committed to the run and won the game because of it. Tom Brady and company didn’t need to lean on Gronkowski in a game where they were able to rush for a whopping 244 yards.
Just take the lumps and move on, Sergio. Yes, even the ones from Wikipedia.
