Tim Tebow used his spiritual healing power on Brian Dawkins’ neck

Many people have joked that devout Christian Tim Tebow has healing powers. He apparently believes that is the case, or that he can at least use his faith to try and help injured teammates. It was revealed in a recent interview that Tebow tried to use prayer and his healing hands to improve safety Brian Dawkins‘ neck injury.

“In our Bible study sessions when my neck was pretty bad and I’m hurting, he, along with our chaplain and (Broncos director of player development) Jerry Butler, laid hands and prayed on me pretty good,” safety Brian Dawkins told Alex Marvez on Sirius XM NFL Radio Friday. “They brought snot and tears to my eyes and all that type of good stuff with prayer.”

Dawkins was Tebow’s teammate the past two seasons in Denver and the neck injury caused him to miss the team’s final three games last season. Dawkins is 38 years old and unsure if he’ll return for his 17th NFL season because of the injury. But it’s not for a lack of effort from Tebow. Not only does the man circumcise babies in the Philippines, he also lays his spiritual hands on his teammates. The man has much more than healing powers — he’s an extension of God on the field.
