Todd Bowles has head coach interviews with four teams
Todd Bowles is one of the hot head coaching candidates this year.
A former safety as a player, Bowles has been the defensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals the past two seasons. This year Arizona’s defense was one of the best in the league and was known for its aggressive style. Teams around the league have taken notice and will be interviewing the coach.
Bowles plans to interview with the Jets on Wednesday, the Falcons on Thursday, 49ers on Friday and the Bears on Saturday.
Another notable aspect of these interviews is that Bowles is black and therefore satisfies the Rooney Rule.
Bowles’ defense was awesome this season. Arizona was 5th in the league with 18.7 points per game allowed. The 51-year-old is someone teams should give serious consideration to, not just to satisfy the Rooney Rule.
