Trent Williams ends holdout, reports to Redskins
The Washington Redskins apparently have won their standoff with Trent Williams.
The talented offensive lineman reported to the team on Tuesday, former Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall reported.
Washington has begun the season 1-7 and would not trade Williams, which left the Pro Bowler in a spot where he finally decided he had no more to gain by holding out. He was trying to force a trade but that did not materialize.
Williams has made 7-straight Pro Bowls but has not played a full 16-game season since 2013. This season he will max out at eight games played if he is able to suit up for the team’s Week 9 game. Williams is under contract with Washington through next season. He was set to make $11 million this season and $12.5 million next season.
