The Minnesota Vikings have some key decisions to make ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, and one of them is regarding the fifth-year option for wide receiver Jordan Addison.

During the NFL Annual League Meeting on Monday, Vikings interim GM Rob Brzezinski revealed that the plan is to exercise the $18 million option for Addison.

“He’s a really important player for us, an impact player,” Brzezinski said. “We’re definitely exercising the option. For sure. The deadline for that is after the draft.”

The option is for $18 million, which takes effect in 2027 and keeps Addison in town for at least two more seasons.

Addison made himself known as he began his college career at Pitt. He was named an All-American and the Biletnikoff Award winner before transferring to USC.

Addison then finished his college career with USC, and the Vikings selected him at No. 23 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. Addison has 2,396 yards on 175 catches with 22 touchdowns through three NFL seasons.

However, Addison has dealt with legal issues, including a DUI, which resulted in a suspension.

Despite that, Addison is productive when he is on the field. In 2025, he had 42 catches for 610 yards and three touchdowns, all of which were career lows, but the Vikings QB situation certainly didn’t help that matter.
