Football fans were asking the same questions while watching Travis Hunter during the first day of the NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisc., on Thursday night.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns made a big trade on draft night that allowed the Jags to move from the No. 5 pick to the No. 2 pick in order to select Hunter. They plan to have Hunter play both ways, which is why they gave up so much to get him.
As ESPN got prepared for the announcement regarding the No. 2 pick, they showed Hunter in the back room. The former Colorado Buffaloes star was shown sitting on a couch next to his mother.

That photo made many fans ask what had happened to Hunter’s girlfriend Leanna Lenee. Some thought he had ditched Lenee.

All those questions were just premature. ESPN later showed another shot of Hunter after he had been drafted, and that one showed Lenee in the picture, celebrating the news.

Hunter and Lenee both went quiet on social media after she started receiving criticism left and right around the time he won the Heisman Trophy. Maybe not having her on the couch so she would avoid TV cameras as much as possible was strategic. Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany had the same issue and started to disappear more from the public eye in recent years. Perhaps this is strategic by Hunter and Lenee.
