Wikipedia seems to think Chad Johnson convinced Jaguars to sign him
The Jacksonville Jaguars have dealt with a number of injuries at the wide receiver position this season, and former NFL star Chad Johnson thinks he can help the team out. As far as Wikipedia is concerned, Johnson has successfully convinced the Jags to give him a shot.
After wide receiver Jaelen Strong announced that he suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s game, Johnson took to social media to ask the Jaguars to give him a shot.
@Jaguars We both follow each other, I’m 3hrs away, I’m in shape, STILL have the best footwork ever & can be at practice tomorrow, don’t need a contract just line Ramsey or Bouye in bump-n-run so i can get my timing together.

For a short while, Wikipedia indicated that the 39-year-old’s pitch was well received. As of Wednesday morning, Johnson’s Wikipedia page indicated Jacksonville had signed him:

Of course, the page was edited a short while later. Even with Allen Robinson out for the season, Strong heading to IR and Allen Hurns battling an ankle injury, Johnson isn’t going to get any different response this time than the one he got from another NFL team a few months back.
