Xavien Howard sent an absolutely perfect tweet after the Miami Dolphins’ latest trade.
The Dolphins are in total tank mode and have traded away many of their only good players they had left entering the season. They traded away Laremy Tunsil, Kiko Alonso, and Kenny Stills among others prior to Week 1. Minkah Fitzpatrick, a first-round pick from 2018, did not want to be there any longer, so they traded him on Monday night.
After the Fitzpatrick trade, Howard was left as one of the few — or only — good Dolphins players. He sent this perfect tweet about the situation, a reference to “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

Translation: he’s the only guy left.
Despite their tanking efforts, Miami actually gave Howard a five-year, $76.5 million contract extension in May, so he’s one of the few guys who wants to stick around. He’s being highly compensated to be there, and as long as he can make it through this season, things should improve before long.
The Dolphins will have three first-round picks next year, including the likely No. 1 overall pick. They also will have two first-round picks the year after. The Dolphins are going to be horrendous this year, but they stand to benefit in the future.
