Dustin Johnson withdraws from Masters due to back injury
The 2017 Masters will proceed without the world’s No. 1 golfer, as Dustin Johnson decided on Thursday to withdraw from the tournament.
Johnson, who injured his back on Wednesday after he fell down a set of stairs at his Augusta rental home, spent about an hour on the driving range before making his decision.

Johnson was coming into the Masters scorching hot, having won the last three PGA events he took part in. It’s an incredible disappointment for golf fans that he won’t be teeing it up at Augusta.
