Caps fans go nuts celebrating first home Stanley Cup win
Washington Capitals fans went nuts after their team took another step towards the franchise’s first ever Stanley Cup.
The Capitals took a 2-1 series lead in this year’s Stanley Cup Finals on Saturday by way of a 3-1 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights. It was the Capitals’ first ever Stanley Cup Finals win on their home ice. Afterward, fans celebrated accordingly.
Hundreds of fans gathered outside of Capital One Arena in D.C. and partied into the night. The festivities included at least two men who made the most of nearby light poles.

The Capitals are now two wins away from a celebration that would make this look like nothing. Local law enforcement might have to consider taking a page out of Philly’s book for how they handle things.
Game 4 will be in D.C. on Monday.
