Sad news to pass along as Associated Press photographer Dave Martin died after suffering a heart attack after the Chick-fil-A Bowl on Tuesday night.
Martin, 59, was a longtime AP photographer. Based in Montgomery, Ala., Martin went onto the field in the Georgia Dome to take photos after Texas A&M’s 52-48 win over Duke. Martin collapsed on the field because of his heart attack and was taken away my medical emergency personnel on a stretcher. He was transported to Emory Hospital Midtown where he died early Wednesday morning.
