Watch: Colin Cowherd was live on air during big California earthquake
A significant earthquake shook the Southern California area on Thursday, and Colin Cowherd experienced it while live on the air.
Cowherd was hosting his regularly scheduled “The Herd” on FOX Sports 1 when the earthquake hit. He was ragging on the Cleveland Browns and how everyone is crowning them because of their big offseason when he stopped mid-sentence and said “we are having an earthquake right now.”

Cowherd said it felt like someone was grabbing his desk and estimated that the quake lasted about 10 seconds.
The epicenter of the earthquake is reported to have been in Searles Valley, Calif., which is about 130 miles from Cowherd’s studio in Los Angeles. The quake measured 6.4 on the Richter scale.
Cowherd has a long-running feud with some of the Browns players, including Baker Mayfield. It’s quite ironic that an earthquake hit just as he was criticizing Cleveland again.
