Ernie Johnson gives his Emmy to Stuart Scott’s daughters

Ernie Johnson has always been a class act and is being commended for his wonderful gesture on Tuesday night.

Johnson, a TV host for Turner Sports and CBS Sports, won the Sports Emmy for Best Studio Host. Johnson then brought the daughters of the late Stuart Scott on stage with him and presented them with the award.

“This belongs with Stuart Scott,” Johnson said as he gave away the award, according to ESPN’s Holly Rowe.

Scott died in January after battling cancer for nearly eight years. He was 49 years old.

Scott was also honored by “SportsCenter” anchors of past and present, who gathered on stage to recognize his legacy.

Much like Scott, Johnson is a beloved broadcaster who battled cancer, so it’s no surprise he came up with this wonderful idea. Hats off to him for honoring Scott and the broadcaster’s family by giving them the award.
