UFC fighter Anthony Johnson goes off on woman in brutal Facebook post
UFC fighter Anthony Johnson had a run-in with a woman at his gym on Tuesday night, and he was so angry about it that he decided to go public with an incredibly offensive Facebook post.
According to Johnson’s story, a woman with a yoga mat got in his way while he was trying to lift weights. The light heavyweight apparently ended up throwing the yoga mat and screaming at her, and he’s definitely not sorry about it.
Bloody Elbow captured a screenshot of the rant before Johnson deleted it.
Johnson has been accused of domestic violence on multiple occasions in the past, so berating a woman and bragging about making her cry probably isn’t a good idea — no matter what the circumstances. Bloody Elbow provided a good recap of Johnson’s checkered past.
Despite deleting the Facebook post, Johnson defended himself against several critics on Twitter.
@IanBainMMA I do my best but when ppl do dumb shit it annoys me. I only told the short version. I skip the part when she was talking shit

@IanBainMMA to me before I got up and threw the yoga mat. Nobody fell down or got hurt or threaten anyone. I would've never let it go there

@IanBainMMA if I lived my life according to what everyone thought, I'd be nothing in life. I don't live my life according to others.

@SeanPeconi there isn't a battle and at the end of the day I'm still me. Not worried about how the public views me.

Did Johnson do anything illegal? Maybe not, but bragging about it is ridiculous. MMA has enough problems with domestic violence and fighters mistreating women.
