The three U.S. swimmers who were with Ryan Lochte the night he claimed he was robbed at gunpoint told authorities in Brazil that Lochte is the one who fabricated the story.

Lochte, who returned to the U.S. before a judge ordered that his passport be seized, gave a detailed account of a frightening robbery in more than one interview. His teammates, Jimmy Feigen, Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger, have reportedly admitted Lochte was lying.

Feigen, Bentz and Conger remain in Brazil for questioning. Authorities reportedly have video showing the swimmers damaging a bathroom door at a gas station. They were later confronted by a security guard and forced to pay the store manager for the damage they caused.

It should come as no surprise that Lochte is the one responsible for the elaborate story. While the IOC and U.S. Olympic Committee denied that the robbery took place at first, Lochte essentially had to run with the story after his mother came forward with details. According to one report, the gas station incident may not be the only one Lochte was involved in Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
