Rememeber when Luis Suarez defended himself by saying he lost his balance and accidentally smacked his teeth off of Giorgio Chiellini’s shoulder, injuring his own mouth in the process? The Uruguay star has apparently had time to reconsider his position and come to the conclusion that honesty is the best approach.
On Monday afternoon, Suarez issued an apology to Chiellini on Twitter.

Chiellini, who has already stated that he believes the punishment levied against Suarez by FIFA was too harsh, quickly accepted the apology and said he hopes FIFA will reduce the length of the ban.

.@luis16suarez It's all forgotten. I hope FIFA will reduce your suspension.

Chiellini is incredibly admirable for letting the whole incident go, but it’s hard to take Suarez’s apology seriously. He’s been punished for biting multiple times in the past. Actions speak louder than words, and Suarez has repeatedly proved that he has a serious problem.
