When it comes to the Super Bowl, you can bet on darn near everything. You can wager on the color of clothing people will be wearing, whether the first score of the game will come via safety, or even whether Bill Belichick sneezes on camera. But are all potential wagers on the up and up? It doesn’t sound like it.
RJ Bell of Pregame.com reports that one online sportsbook suspended betting on the length of the national anthem because insider information was suspected.

Idina Menzel, who provided the voice for Elsa in “Frozen,” will be singing the anthem. Is it possible she was doing some insider trading and laying bets on herself? All possibilities cannot be ruled out! But the more likely answer is we’re told that Menzel said in an interview with Dan LeBatard during the week that she was going to savor the moment and likely go over the time.
