Gregg Popovich on no air conditioning: ‘Hopefully we can pay our bills’ (Video)

Gregg PopovichThe situation that unfolded at the AT&T Center on Thursday night had Gregg Popovich written all over it. As soon as word surfaced that the air conditioner had gone out and the temperature was creeping above 90 degrees, we couldn’t wait to hear what the San Antonio Spurs coach had to say. Pop didn’t disappoint.

“I think everybody got a little tired or a little dehydrated, for sure,” Popovich said when asked about the playing conditions. “I’m sure that both teams are going to be happy that we have a couple of days before the next game. Hopefully we can pay our bills.”

Imagine if the Spurs lost? Cranky Pop combined with “we just had a major arena malfunction” Pop would have made for tremendous television.
