The Golden State Warriors are looking at many options to fill out the rest of their roster after signing Kevin Durant in free agency. The latest report says the team even has interest in center Kendrick Perkins.

On Tuesday, Sam Amico reported about the Warriors’ interest in Perkins:

Then on Friday Basketball Insiders’ Alex Kennedy took it a step further, saying the Warriors have expressed interest in Perkins.

Perkins is currently a free agent after spending last season with the Pelicans.

A former longtime key member of the Boston Celtics, Perk was acquired by the Thunder in the Jeff Green trade and played alongside Durant from 2010-2013 in Oklahoma City. Though he only plays limited minutes these days, the Warriors might have interest in him as a backup center/enforcer type.

The Warriors traded center Andrew Bogut to Dallas and lost Festus Ezeli to the Blazers, so they do have a need for bigs. Although they did add Zaza Pachulia in a move that upset many around the league.

Perkins averaged 2.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game last season.
