Will Bynum suspended one game for punching Tyler Hansbrough (Video)
Will Bynum was suspended on game for punching Tyler Hansbrough on Saturday.
Detroit was down 70-50 in the fourth quarter when Bynum socked Hansbrough in the stomach after the Pacers forward screened him. It was a sneaky move by Bynum, and Hansbrough crouched down in a show of pain afterward. His reaction ensured the referees saw it the move, and they immediately ejected Bynum.
The NBA announced Sunday that the Pistons guard would be suspended a game as penalty.
Bynum had 15 points when he was ejected. Detroit lost 90-72, less than a day after getting blasted by the Pacers 114-82 in Indiana. Clearly frustration over the two straight losses played a role in Bynum’s reaction. And maybe he thought he could get away with it.
