Jimbo Fisher hugs Jameis Winston after win (Video)

Florida State fans will probably fall in love with this video of Jimbo Fisher embracing Jameis Winston after the Seminoles beat Notre Dame 31-27 on Saturday night in a fantastic game.

In a moment so completely staged it was embarrassing, Fisher hugged Winston for the TV cameras and photographers, and audio of their conversation just so happened to be picked up by ESPN.

Jimbo Fisher Jameis Winston

“Calm down, be very passive here. Understand what I’m saying? Humble. Humble pie,” Fisher told Winston about how he should behave (as transcribed by our buddy Jimmy Traina).

In his postgame interview, Fisher said some things that will probably make you gag.

“It’s not what we do; it’s who we are,” said Fisher.

“This is a high-character program that’s ran the right way, on class, on dignity, in the classroom, on the field, off the field, and this team shows it.”

High-character program run the right way? On class? On dignity? Off the field?

Nobody better tell Jimbo about his quarterback who is a thief, alleged rapist and jerk, nor about the dignity of the way the local police covers up their crimes.

Here’s a rundown of the great class from his star player, Jameis Winston:

Accused of raping Florida State student in Dec. 2012
Cited in April for stealing crab legs at a grocery store
– Suspended for Clemson game because he yelled obscene in middle of campus
Stole soda and acted disrespectfully at a Burger King in July, 2013.
Investigated in 2012 for his involvement in a BB gun fight that resulted in broken windows at an apartment complex.

Yup, when I think of classy and dignified programs, I definitely think of Jimbo’s Florida State squad first. Barf.

Jimbo Fisher is an enabler and his team’s star player represents the antithesis of class. Jimbo is just another excellent coach of a powerhouse program who is just as dirty as most other coaches of powerhouse programs who win national championships. The only difference is most coaches don’t try to convince you that they’re classy, unlike Jimbo, who disgustingly tries to throw it right in your face.
