Steve Spurrier mic

Steve Spurrier micNobody rocks the mic quite like Steve Spurrier. And very few are as good at trash talking.

After winning the Capital One Bowl for the second time, Spurrier grabbed the microphone in the postgame ceremony and said a few words. Spurrier thanked the South Carolina fans who made the trip to Orlando, and then he got in his shot at Clemson.

“These two Capital One bowls in a row are pretty nice, but that state championship ain’t bad either!” Spurrier declared, much to the delight of the Gamecocks fans.

Man, Spurrier is the best.

And think about what a great job he’s done at South Carolina. He’s now gone 11-2 three seasons in a row. 11-2. Three years in a row. At South Carolina. In the SEC. He’s made the Gamecocks the class of the SEC East.

Spurrier can talk all the trash he wants if he’s going to keep winning like that.
