Now this was a dirty play if I’ve ever seen one. Arkansas freshman wide receiver Marquel Wade hit defenseless Vanderbilt punt returner Jonathan Krause after Krause had called for a fair catch early in the third quarter Saturday. Here’s a video of the play:
Wade was ejected immediately for the hit. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only play that didn’t go Vanderbilt’s way. They lost a fumble at the Arkansas 5 that was returned for a touchdown. They also missed 27-yard field goal that could have tied the game. It was a game Vanderbilt led most of the way, and a game they should have won. Instead, they lost 31-28.
