Chris Johnson Goes Lil Wayne, Plugs His Twitter at ESPY’s

The 2010 ESPY’s produced some memorable moments on Wednesday night, led by host Seth Meyers’ hilarious opening monologue. Meyers had one questionable moment where he joked about Greg Oden’s penis, but aside from that the show was strong. One of the other memorable moments was Chris Johnson’s acceptance speech for winning the Breakthrough Athlete of the Year award. The Titans running back was clearly making a fashion statement, appearing on stage with a wide open collar, leather jacket, and dark sunglasses on. Johnson also managed to turn the speech into a personal commercial, telling people to follow him on his twitter page while also thanking Ustream. Someone also released Lil Wayne from prison and sent him to the ESPY’s to accept Johnson’s award. Observe:

Johnson said before the ESPY’s that he was rocking his “punk rock swag.” Looks more like emo-rapper to me. Ladies and gentlemen, that is your new face of the NFL.
