Gisele Bundchen’s Email to Friends and Family: Pray for My Husband Tom Brady

Any football player who has a significant other has someone who is worried about them on Sundays.  Football is a violent game.  When you play a sport that involves 300-pound men trying to rip your head off and knock you out, your loved ones are bound to be concerned for your health and safety.  It is understandable that Gisele Bundchen worries about Tom Brady while he is playing football, but was her email to friends and family a bit over-the-top?  Gisele sent an email chain out this week asking that people give “Tommy” their love and support at this time.  One of those close friends or family members emailed it to the NY Post. Check it out:

“My sweet friends and family,” the e-mail began. “This sunday will be a really important day in my husband’s life. He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of winning this super bowl . . .

“So I kindly ask all of you to join me on this positive chain and pray for him, so he can feel confident, healthy and strong. Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this sunday.

“Thank you for your love and support. Love, G :)”

When the Post reached out to Gisele for comment, she gave the following response: “I am surprised that you received this e-mail; It was a private note only sent to close friends and family.”

As a supermodel and millionaire, she should know nothing is private in this day and age.  So what do you think?  Is this just a nice gesture from a loving wife, or is it so sappy you already threw up before you finished reading this post?  Personally, I see nothing wrong with asking friends and family for prayer and support if you’re a religious person.  But that’s just the opinion of one real big Tom Brady fan.
