Have you ever met someone who works in an office all day sitting at a desk? I’m sure all of you have, but have you ever met such a person who wears basketball shorts and sandals in their office because they know clients and fellow workers will only see them from the waist up throughout the day? A friend of mine has a father who is a lawyer and wears a bathing suit all day. He finds it comfortable and knows he can sit down the entire time he’s interacting with people. It looks like Michael Vick is bringing this concept to the NFL. Check out this picture of Michael Vick in sandals at his post-game press conference, courtesy of Deadspin:
The problem with Vick’s approach is he is not sitting down and has to walk to and from the podium. With that in mind, I hope that doesn’t mean he thinks this is a fashionable look. If so the luster of the whole “I’m going to be comfortable and no one will know” thing wears off immediately.
