Oakland Raiders Nation a Bunch of Frauds

When you think of some of the most passionate, hardcore, dedicated fans in sports, Raiders fans inevitably come to mind. They were the pioneers of the ___ Nation term, originating the “Raider Nation,” which has since been mimicked by several other fan bases. They have one of the most intimidating fan areas around – the Black Hole – located in one of the end zones. You dare wear a jersey of another team into the Black Hole, you risk not coming out. Being a Raiders fan is not merely a whimsical choice; it’s a culture and way of life.

But as intimidating and strong of a fan base as the Raiders have, their attendance record in Oakland does not correspond. Their Sunday game against the Colts – with the team at 7-7 and still in the playoff hunt no less – is being blacked out because the game did not sell out. That marks the 7th time in eight games that the Raiders failed to sell out a game, resulting in a local blackout.

I ask, how can that be the case?

If Raiders fans are as badass, faithful, and intimidating as they’d like you to believe, you figure the least they’d be able to do is sell out a home game, especially when the team is pretty good, right? That’s not too much to ask, is it Raiders fans?

Man, if the powder blue and gold Chargers are managing to sell out games, how are you not? Poor form Raiders fans, poor form, and I don’t want to hear another thing about how strong the Raider Nation is until they sell out a game.

Sounds like someone got picked on by a Raider Fan as a kid.
You did realize that our economy is in shambles and California is pretty much bankrupt.
You also forgot to mention the thousands of loyal fans who are still boycotting the team because of the last seven years of terrible play.
Oh and buy the way, the only reason your chokers sold out last game is because our Nation came through and made it an Oakland home game.
It must hurt deep down inside knowing you don’t have any super bowl trophies to show for after all these long years. It probably hurts more when your masturbating to a picture of Phil Rivers and his little boy hair cut.

This is a poorly written article, which fails to take into account the biggest factor to Oakland’s blackouts–California’s poor economy. We’re backrupt, Mr. Brown. That and the high cost of living here–you’ve gotta be kidding me! I love the Raiders, but I only have so much money to pay the bills, so therefore my my DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket suffices at the moment.

U also forgot…The Nation spreads outside the city limits of Oakland…..From a fan in North Alabama!

How many seats in that stadium?? How does that compare to other stadiums that “sell out”” tickets ?

Nice article from a clown… With California at 19% unemployment it will be hard to sell out no matter who the team…. Get off your high horse and get in the trenches with those that are trying to pay the bills, right after Christmas no less…. If the author was here I would slap him down like Seymore did to Rothlesburger….

Who the hell does this guy think he is? The RAIDER NATION is WORLDWIDE and we don’t blame Oakland for their poor attendance…we blame the NFL, Los Angeles, Oakland and whoever else is to blame for NOT honoring their commitment to building the Raiders a modern, state of the art stadium that would be worthy of the RAIDERS to play in. Who in their right mind would pay over $100 per ticket to see the RAIDERS play in a filthy, rundown, disgusting stadium that should be torn down along with the LA Coliseum (A.K.A.: “Mausoleum”)? The RAIDER NATION is strong and will ALWAYS support their team so, Mr. Larry Brown…KISS MY RAIDER LOVING ASS!!
