Here in America, fans who rush the field have to pay the price. Unlike a recent incident that occurred during a soccer match in Holland, we applaud players when they help detain a person who decided they want 30 seconds of fame during a sporting event. The dangerous thing about running onto the field during an American football game is that there are 22 oversized men wearing pads and helmets that might decide they feel like giving stadium security a hand. That’s what happened on Sunday during the Lions-Packers game, when Green Bay linebacker Brad Jones tackled a 15-year-old kid. Check out this video that Shutdown Corner shared with us, via YouTube user atenebrini:
If a player didn’t decide to get involved who knows how long that kid could have run around for. Maybe Lambeau Field security didn’t expect anyone to pull any shenanigans since Aaron Rodgers wasn’t playing. Packers security should take a training course with Fenway Park’s security team.
