Mexico’s Raul Jimenez scored a goal on an incredible bicycle kick in the 85th minute to give his country a 2-1 win over Panama on Friday in Mexico City. Mexico’s wins helped them grab sole possession of fourth place in qualifying.
Jimenez’s beautiful goal came four minutes after Panama scored the equalizer, and it helped keep alive Mexico’s hopes of reaching a sixth straight World Cup.
“I didn’t think about it, I had to strike it like that. Fortunately it was a goal. It is something I’ll never forget,” Jimenez said after the game.
