Adrien Broner sued by woman for leaking sex tape

Adrien Broner is being sued by a women over a sex tape video he leaked online last year.

Boxing Scene first reported news of the lawsuit brought against Broner, a boxer who is 28-1 but has become known for his exploits outside the ring more than his athletic accomplishments. Larry Brown Sports can also confirm that a suit was filed on May 1 by a woman named Andrea Reyes, who says she was one of the two women who appeared in a sex tape with Broner last year.

Last September, a graphic sex tape of Broner engaged in a threesome with two women made its way onto WorldStarHipHop. We figured at the time that the video was posted by Broner for purposes of boosting his name/giving him more exposure.

The woman who is suing him, Reyes, says she agreed to appear in a sex tape with Broner and a third woman, but she did so under the agreement that the tape would remain private. She says Broner crossed her by releasing it.

In the suit, Reyes says she is a 23-year-old waitress at a small family-owned restaurant in Las Vegas and that Broner came in continuously asking for her phone number. She finally gave it to him, they went out, and they began a romantic relationship for a few months.

Boxing Scene says Reyes is seeking at least $30,000 in damages, plus attorneys fees and costs.

Adrien Broner suspended by WBC for F— Mexican interview

Adrien BronerThe WBC — an otherwise worthless organization — actually made itself useful on Wednesday when it suspended Adrien Broner for an offensive postfight interview last weekend following the boxer’s win over Carlos Molina.

In the interview, Broner called himself the “can man” and stated that he “beat the f— out of a MexiCAN.” (warning: language is inappropriate and offensive)

The WBC responded Wednesday by issuing the following statement:

Adrien Broner , former WBC lightweight champion has offended many persons of the world with his words during the interview after the fight vs Molina .

The World Boxing Council holds human equality as its banner and will not accept a former WBC champion to make racially offensive statements.

Since words have different meanings and can be interpreted in different ways , the WBC is issuing this open letter to Adrien Broner to either clarify what he meant with his words or to issue a public apology if those words were intended to be despective and offensive .

Adrien Broner is hereby suspended from participating in any WBC sanctioned Championship and will be excluded from the WBC Ratings until the time he makes a public apology satisfactorily to the public of the world .

Boxing is a great sport , it is a world sport and boxers are honorable and exemplary members of the community . FairPlay and human equality must always be upheld.

As far as we can tell, Broner has not yet responded to the suspension. He doesn’t have to, and knowing him, he might not want to. Being offensive is what he does and who he is.

Adrien Broner Jim Gray

Adrien Broner was quite the clown in his post-fight interview on Saturday night, which is nothing new.

In addition to talking about how he’s a “Can-Man” and how he beat the f— out of a Mexican, Broner told Showtime’s Jim Gray that he was thinking about the NFL during his fight. Seriously.

Broner said that because he was in Washington D.C. training, he thought about how the Redskins acquired DeSean Jackson. He said that made him want his hometown Bengals to get Michael Vick, who signed with the Jets.

D-Jack was watching the fight and posted video of Broner’s comments on Instagram, along with the caption: “Adrien Broner Is a fool !! This What he was thinkn During the fight !! LMAO !!”

Broner did drop an F-bomb here, so be warned:

RG3 was also watching the fight and tweeted the following:

Yeah, that’s about the only non-offensive thing Broner got right in his interview. Otherwise he was his usual nutty self.

Adrien Broner was at it again with his brash ways after beating Carlos Molina on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Broner beat Molina by unanimous decision and proclaimed that his loss to Marcos Maidana humbled him. But shortly after saying he had been humbled, Broner ran his mouth.

Broner called himself the “can man,” as in he could beat an Afri-CAN and just beat the f— out of a Mexi-CAN. The language includes the curse word, so be warned:

Adrien Broner for you, in peak form.

Broner did say that he is willing to fight anyone and that he wants to fight Manny Pacquaio. We’d like to see that, too, to watch Pac-Man destroy him.

Showtime’s Jim Gray even had to scold Broner for his inappropriate interview comments.

Adrien Broner looking like Rick Ross but with more jewelry

Showtime favorite child Adrien Broner was in the house in DC Saturday night to provide some commentary for the fight card headlined by Bernard Hopkins.

Broner shared his thoughts on the Hopkins fight, and of course he was iced out like a margarita. He had a diamond grill, diamond earring, diamond ring, diamond watch, diamond bracelet, and about five huge chains around his neck. When you add in the beard and sunglasses, the dude strongly resembled Rick Ross.

In the shot below, you can see the diamond bracelet and a hint of the diamond watch:

None of this should surprise you; Broner is the same guy who put on a double gold grill in the ring after beating Paulie Malignaggi last year. He always keeps it a maximum swag levels (except for when he’s getting KTFO).

I have to admit, that Rick Ross look does work for him though.

Adrien Broner: I’m the closest thing to Floyd Mayweather

Adrien Broner Floyd Mayweather mini me

Is there anyone who thinks more highly of Adrien Broner than Adrien Broner? Probably not.

Broner is close friends with Floyd Mayweather and considers the undefeated boxer his mentor and brother. The feelings seem to be mutual based on what Floyd has said in the past, but Broner took things a little too far in some comments he made over the weekend.

Appearing on Showtime’s set for the Lamont Peterson-Dierry Jean fight last Saturday, Broner proudly exclaimed that he is the closest thing to Floyd Mayweather. His comments rubbed boxing fans in completely the wrong way, mostly because Floyd is undefeated while Broner already has one loss, which puts them worlds apart in terms of achievement.

But what exactly did Broner mean by “closest thing to Mayweather”?

If by his comments Broner meant close in terms of friendship, he might be right. Or if he meant that he’s the closest thing to Mayweather in terms of the way he’s made himself a controversial figure in the sport, I could buy that. But the way Broner said it, it seemed like he was talking about the total package, which would include skill, ability, marketing, fame, etc. And after losing to Marcos Maidana, Broner does not belong in the same boxing conversation as Floyd.

Mayweather has never been owned in a fight the way Broner was. Never.

Adrien Broner, Marcos Maidana will rematch; fight likely for April

Adrien Broner gold grill

Just on Wednesday Adrien Broner was tweeting about his desire to fight Marcos Maidana again after suffering his only career loss to the Argentine last month. Well it sounds like he will get his wish.

According to ESPN boxing reporter Dan Rafael, Broner has picked up his option for a rematch with Maidana. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told Rafael the rematch is likely to happen in April and air on Showtime.

Schaefer says the fight will likely take place on April 19 or 26 at either the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., or the Alamadome in San Antonio, which was the site of the December fight between the men.

Maidana, who is 35-3 with 31 KOs in his career, dropped Broner twice in their fight and won by unanimous decision.

One other note about this rematch taking place in April is that likely means Floyd Mayweather will end up facing Amir Khan in May. Because of his big win over Broner and overall knockout power, Maidana was considered a candidate to face Floyd, but this takes him out of the running.

We like Maidana to win the rematch as well.
