AJ McCarron and Katherine Webb tied the knot back in July, but the couple did a great job of keeping the photos from the big day hidden. It’s usually only a matter of days before the internet gets ahold of athlete/celebrity wedding photos, yet here we are two months later and getting our first glimpse.

It looks like Webb and McCarron had an exclusive deal with Extra for the photos. The new Mrs. McCarron began sharing a bunch on Twitter and Instagram on Monday. Here are some more:

Webb shared the photo seen above via Instagram Tuesday and it shows off the front of their wedding invitation. The two are set to be married on Friday.

There was a report saying their wedding would be a part of a reality show, but they said that was not the case.

Webb and McCarron got engaged in March as AJ prepared to launch his NFL career following four excellent seasons at Alabama. They actually met over Twitter in the fall of 2012 and will be married less than two years later.

AJ McCarron: ‘I wasn’t healthy at Alabama’

AJ McCarronAll AJ McCarron did at Alabama was win football games, but that wasn’t enough to make him one of the better pro prospects in a loaded 2014 draft class. McCarron fell further than some expected and was eventually scooped up by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round. Would he have gone higher if he was healthy at Alabama?

On Sunday, McCarron rubbed some people the wrong way when he went on SiriusXM NFL Radio and spoke about playing through injuries in college.

“A lot of people don’t realize I wasn’t healthy at Alabama,” McCarron said, via Tadd Haislop of Sporting News. “I sacrificed a lot to play for coach (Nick) Saban and that university; I played through a lot of injuries and we never leaked it because that’s just the way it is. I’ve played through a lot, just try to fight through for my teammates and my team.”

From the sound of it, McCarron is basically saying Nick Saban puts together his injury reports the same way Bill Belichick assembles his. You could also argue that McCarron was making excuses for falling all the way to the 164th overall pick, but the three-time national champion insists his comments have been blown out of proportion.

AJ McCarron reportedly rubbed teams the wrong way in interviews

AJ McCarronDespite his claims that he would go in the first round of the NFL Draft, former Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron was not selected until the fifth round by the Cincinnati Bengals. Some of McCarron’s behavior over the past few months may have something to do with that.

According to Pro Football Talk, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that McCarron rubbed teams “the wrong way” when he interviewed with them prior to the draft. Some talent evaluators reportedly did not like that McCarron proclaimed he would be a high pick.

In addition to that, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reportedly said that some teams considered it a red flag that McCarron would be doing a reality TV show with his fiancee, Katherine Webb.

We were confused that McCarron had plans to be involved in a reality show; he seems like a guy who’s strictly about football and business, so it didn’t make sense that he would consent to such a distraction, especially if he planned on trying to have an NFL career.

Whether you believe this stuff or not, it could certainly help explain why McCarron wasn’t selected until the 164th overall pick.

Darnell Dockett still obsessed with Katherine Webb

Katherine-Webb-AJ-McCarronDarnell Dockett has been obsessed with Katherine Webb since Brent Musburger introducer her to the world, and the Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle has not been shy about it. On Thursday, AJ McCarron was a guest on Dan Le Batard’s “Highly Questionable,” and he was asked about the possibility of being teammates with Dockett.

“We’re two grown men,” McCarron said with a laugh. “So hopefully we’d both have respect for each other if we’re on the same team. But, I don’t know what happens in that situation. Hopefully we’d just handle out business and win ballgames.’

Dockett must have heard the interview, because he took to Twitter on Thursday evening to rekindle the fire.

AJ McCarron blames TV show on wife Katherine Webb

AJ McCarron is aware that being involved in a reality TV show does not look good to NFL teams ahead of the draft, so he’s doing his best to pin the blame for it on his future wife.

After a report came out on Wednesday saying that McCarron and fiance Katherine Webb are filming a reality show for a to-be-determined network, the former Alabama quarterback sent this tweet:

McCarron should be defensive about this whole thing. The idea that he’s doing a reality show creates the perception that he’s interested in being on TV and a celebrity rather than playing quarterback.

If someone proposed the idea to them that they should document their life for the potential to shop it to networks, then AJ is as much to blame as Katherine. This definitely is creating a lot of questions for AJ that he probably would prefer not to have to answer.

AJ McCarron Katherine Webb engaged

AJ McCarron and Katherine Webb are one of the most popular athlete-celebrity couples in the country, so you knew this was coming at some point. According to The Auburn Plainsmen, the couple has begun filming a reality television show that will document the planning of their wedding.

As you know, McCarron recently proposed to Webb and the two later enjoyed a ridiculous engagement cake. Laurie Webb, Katherine’s sister and maid of honor, said that a group of producers have gotten together to make the show and have yet to decide on a network.

“They’ve already started filming during the proposal,” Laurie Webb said. “From what I understood, it came from someone else. I don’t think they were trying to get into a reality show, I think they just had the opportunity and decided to take it.”

Katherine’s father Alan Webb added that the show would be “a wholesome one” as far as reality TV goes. In other words, we’re not going to see a spin-off of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

“They think it’s a great opportunity,” Laurie said. “They can also have a documentation of special times during their life, which will be kind of cool.”

McCarron also happens to be one of the top quarterback prospects from the 2014 NFL Draft class, so you can guarantee NFL teams will be giving him a hard time about starring in a reality TV show. Anything that doesn’t have to do with football can be viewed as a distraction, and rookies who come in with distractions are always heavily scrutinized.
