Albert Pujols mocks Rangers pitcher after beef
Albert Pujols mocked Texas Rangers pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez after Saturday’s 6-3 loss in Arlington.
During the top of the 4th inning, Pujols was facing Yu Darvish with an 0-1 count when the Rangers pitcher buzzed him with a pitch up and in. Pujols ducked out of the way but had words with some in the opposing dugout after his at-bat, including Gonzalez.
After the game, Pujols called Gonzalez “Chi Chi Rodriguez,” who was a famous golfer.
Albert Pujols: "Chi Chi Rodriguez was popping off like he wanted to come out of the dugout, and I didn't appreciate it."

There’s no better way to show disrespect for someone than by getting their name wrong.
Gonzalez is currently on the 60-day DL with an elbow injury. Pujols went 0-for-3 with an RBI on Saturday and has a lowly .634 OPS this season, though he has racked up 22 RBIs thanks largely to batting behind offensive machine, Mike Trout.
