Buster Posey undergoes hip surgery, targeting spring training return
Buster Posey underwent hip surgery on Monday and will soon begin rehab.
Posey’s hip surgery addressed a torn labrum and his hip impingement. The operation was done in Vail, Colo., and Posey will begin his rehab in the Bay Area next week.

The Giants announced that Buster Posey is done with his hip surgery. He will return to the Bay Area later this week to begin rehab.

Posey is hoping to be ready in time for the start of spring training next year.
The 31-year-old catcher was batting .284 with a .741 OPS this season. He is set to make $21.4 million next season and is under contract through 2022.
