New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez will be competing in Monday night’s Home Run Derby, and he’s certainly coming prepared for the occasion.
Several hours before the competition was set to begin, awe-inspiring images of Sanchez’s custom-made Derby bats leaked to the Internet.

The Dominican has notably been nicknamed “The Kraken” by Yankees general manager Brian Cashman in the past.
The inclusion of Sanchez, who has the fewest home runs of any of this year’s Home Run Derby participants with 13, was criticized by some. But if his bats are any indication, the second-year backstop definitely belongs out there.
