Matt Harvey refuses to speak with media after first bullpen outing
Matt Harvey made his first bullpen appearance of the season for the New York Mets on Tuesday night, and we have no way of knowing how the right-hander felt about it.
After he allowed two hits and one earned run in two innings of relief work, Harvey refused to speak with reporters about his new role.

The Mets ended up beating the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5, so Harvey’s two innings of middle relief played a factor. Mets manager Mickey Callaway told reporters he felt Harvey threw the ball well and had “crisp” stuff.

Harvey had an ERA of 6.00 over his first four starts of the season, and the Mets decided over the weekend that he is moving to the bullpen. It would not be a surprise if he is angry over the move, but perhaps it will be the spark he needs to get back on track.
