Dodgers’ Rich Hill to open season on injured list with knee injury
The Los Angeles Dodgers are pretty banged up heading into the 2019 season, and they have had to go deep into their rotation to name an Opening Day starter because of it.
On Friday, the Dodgers announced that Rich Hill will begin the season on the injured list, as he is dealing with a sprained MCL. With Clayton Kershaw also on the shelf because of shoulder discomfort, Hyun-Jin Ryu will start against the Arizona Diamondbacks next Thursday.

Walker Buehler has also been dealing with an undisclosed injury this spring, though he said he felt good after his first outing earlier this week.
While none of the aforementioned injuries sound serious, they are certainly worth monitoring. Kershaw has already downplayed his ailment, so the Dodgers are likely just playing things safe this early in the year.
