The Colorado Rockies suffered one of their worst losses in franchise history on Saturday, and their social media team had the perfect response to the lopsided defeat.
The San Diego Padres beat the Rockies 21-0 on Saturday night at Coors Field in Denver, Colo. The score, which looked more like a football game, represented the worst shutout loss in Rockies history.
While the Rockies lost in embarrassing fashion, the person who was running their X account made the most of an unfortunate situation.

For those who don’t understand the reference, the screenshot is from Bill Belichick’s recent interview with CBS. The North Carolina coach was asked at one point how he met his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson, and Hudson awkwardly interrupted to shut down the question. Hudson bluntly told the interviewer, “We’re not talking about this.”
The Rockies probably do not want to talk about their 21-0 loss or much else about their season thus far. They are an MLB-worst 6-33 and could go down as one of the worst teams in league history if they do not find a way to turn things around. Maybe they need Hudson to start handling some of their public relations.
