Watch: Rockies’ Trevor Story hits record 505-foot home run
Trevor Story made some history on Wednesday night.
The Colorado Rockies shortstop smashed three home runs in his first three at-bats against the San Francisco Giants. The first was a solo shot in the first that was estimated at a distance of 459 feet. The second homer, a solo blast in the fourth, cleared the seats in left and was estimated to have a distance of 505 feet.
The 505-foot homer was the longest ever measured in the StatCast Era:
Trevor Story's home run tonight is the longest in the Statcast Era ™️. Giancarlo Stanton held the previous mark with a 504-footer in 2016. Those are the only home runs measured at 500+ feet.

And he did it all while falling down, too.
Story can now add this record to all the other ones he set two years ago.
