Yasiel Puig last played in a Major League Baseball game six years ago, but the former Los Angeles Dodgers slugger does not look like he has changed much.
Puig is currently in his second stint with the Kiwoom Heroes of the KBO League in South Korea. During his team’s game against the Doosan Bears on Wednesday night, Puig took exception to a pitch that was thrown high and tight.
After backing out of the way of the pitch, Puig started to aggressively walk toward the mound. That led to both benches clearing.
The situation did not escalate all that much, as both players were quickly separated and went back to their respective dugouts.

Puig was known for always being at the center of scrums during his MLB career. He was suspended for two games during the 2018 season for starting a brawl against the San Francisco Giants. He was then suspended again the following season for his role in a different fight. There were other instances where Puig was openly furious after pitchers threw at or near him as well.
Puig last played for the Cleveland Indians in 2019. He began his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and played several seasons there before a brief stint with the Cincinnati Reds as well. The 34-year-old has played for several international teams in recent years.
Prior to the 2025 season, Puig sent a message to MLB teams letting them know he still wants another shot.
